Dr. Ro DiBrezzo

Dr. Ro Di Brezzo is a University Professor of Kinesiology and Director of the Human Performance Lab in the Department of Health Science, Kinesiology, Recreation and Dance at the University of Arkansas. She also serves as the co-Director of the Office for Studies on Aging. Dr. Di Brezzo received her Ph.D. in biomechanics from Texas Woman’s University, her master of science in adapted physical education from Indiana University and her bachelor of science degree in health and physical education from Brooklyn College. Before coming to the University of Arkansas, Dr. Di Brezzo taught at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.

Dr. Di Brezzo’s research interests involve women’s health issues including stress, the effects of exercise on cognition and aging, and the kinematics of performance. She has co-authored over 125 publications and made over 175 presentations related to her research. Most recently, Dr. Di Brezzo has investigated the effects of exercise on breast cancer.

Dr. Di Brezzo has received numerous national and university honors and awards for outstanding research and teaching. She actively serves on several university committees, including Chair-elect of the Faculty Senate and Chair of the Campus Faculty.
